The Veterans’ Preference Advisor was developed by the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) to allow Veterans to examine the preferences for which they might be entitled with regard to Federal jobs.
In addition, VETS allows Veterans’ Preference claimants to submit a claim electronically VETS staff members are available to provide technical assistance prior to filing an official claim.
The Veterans’ Preference Advisor is one of a series of elaws (Employment Laws Assistance for Workers and Small Businesses) Advisors developed by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to help employers and employees understand their rights and responsibilities under Federal employment laws.
